I had been appraising jewelry for years before I was drawn into numismatics, and that’s a shame. Coins and gems travel in the same circles, likewise gemology and numismatics carry on well together. Coins have a long record of art and technological advancement over the centuries, with much of human history traced and punctuated by the coins we carried. We’ve got the tools and the talent to authenticate and grade almost any coin, slabbed or raw. With a foundation of ANA education, we use the same standards and nomenclature as the PCGS, and our grades should fall to within one grade of what you’ll find by sending it in.
